So, on the one hand, I am suddenly very uninterested in following Marvel comics right now (not that I have many titles in rotation currently).

On the other hand, if it produces another 12 issues of Nextwave it will have all been worth it.

  1. Honestly, I'm kind of like: this is just normal once-a-decade houscleaning and reboot. I'm about as impressed by the notion as I was about them killing off wolverine. (Not at all)

  2. The problem is that I'm just not that interested in this stuff and it screws with the comics that I want to read because between issue X and Y the character(s) will have been in 40 other books and there'll be this abrupt change in the story and it's all "well, the reason Hero Guy is wearing a Tutu, has a cyber-eye and is living in Shanghai is all explained in 3 other issues of 3 different titles".  I don't want to read the other titles, I want to read about Hero Guy.

  3. Hero Guy's been pretty lame ever since Warren Ellis stopped writing him.
