[Marvel is going to do a major, cross-over, world shattering "event" that may result in a reboot.]
So, on the one hand, I am suddenly very uninterested in following Marvel comics right now (not that I have many titles in rotation currently).
On the other hand, if it produces another 12 issues of Nextwave it will have all been worth it.
Honestly, I'm kind of like: this is just normal once-a-decade houscleaning and reboot. I'm about as impressed by the notion as I was about them killing off wolverine. (Not at all)
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that I'm just not that interested in this stuff and it screws with the comics that I want to read because between issue X and Y the character(s) will have been in 40 other books and there'll be this abrupt change in the story and it's all "well, the reason Hero Guy is wearing a Tutu, has a cyber-eye and is living in Shanghai is all explained in 3 other issues of 3 different titles". I don't want to read the other titles, I want to read about Hero Guy.
ReplyDeleteHero Guy's been pretty lame ever since Warren Ellis stopped writing him.
