You may have read how in some human cultures people will use their left hand as toilet paper. Often these cultures are located in harsh climates and wasting paper for such would be a bad idea.

Our culture, however, is not so resource strapped. Perhaps it's different for birds, but in any case you are not supposed to poop on my hand.

"After nearly two decades of debate, Nebraska’s same-sex marriage ban fell quickly Friday after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a landmark civil rights case that states cannot deny a gay couple the dignity of marriage.

Within an hour, Nebraska. Gov. Pete Ricketts and Attorney General Doug Peterson gave the green light for county clerks to begin issuing same-sex marriage licenses."

Those two groused about it, but they didn't throw a tantrum and were basically "whelp, SCOTUS said we have to so we're gonna".  Quite gracious considering some of the responses seen so far.

And at least two gay couples in Nebraska have already gotten marriage licenses.

Getting ready to sell your house is a lot like being the director of an amateur theatre production. The set's half finished, the actors don't know their lines and what costumes and props there are look super cheap and tacky. Oh and tomorrow is opening night.

I can only hope that, as in theatre, magic happens and it all comes together at the last second.
