I completely appreciate the awesomeness of this dad, and having read the article, daughter asked him to be Leia so that makes sense, but my first instinct is that the pair would be Solo/Skywalker. That pair makes a lot more sense in my head. Maybe time to rewatch the movies?
Well, the daughter asked him to be Leia specifically, so I think that's why the choice. But am I the only one who in a word-association game if you said "Han Solo" I'd say "Luke Skywalker"? Maybe it's just me...

ReplyDeleteMarta S. Rivera Monclova, my bet is that the dad wanted to continue the non-gender conforming theme, so Leia is the correct choice.

ReplyDelete(I just did that with Dan and he said Chewbacca... so apparently there are no stable dyads!)
ReplyDeleteMarta S. Rivera Monclova. Han and Leia wind up as the romantic couple in the movies so that's why they're often paired together.
ReplyDeleteWell, I know that, but doesn't that make it a bit ickier if you think of it that way?
ReplyDeleteMarta S. Rivera Monclova Well now it does.
