I've wanted to do something like this recreationally for years now. Apparently this also happens in the US, I wonder if they've got "lubber classes".

ReplyDeleteHuh...while G Scale is a scattershot of different sizes, there are some that would be pretty close to-scale with the ships. And sea/rail links are quite popular to model.
ReplyDeleteOK -- container ships bring cargo to port. Those get loaded onto rail cars which ship them to the other end of the pond where they're loaded onto container ships for another trip. You have people operating boats, tugs, cranes, trains...this could be fun!
