I'm reminded of my favorite French pun, though I don't remember to whom it's attirbuted. Upon receiving a dinner invite, the punster replied merely with "J a".
In French that's "J grande (capital)" and "ah petite (small)" but when you say them together it sounds like "j'ai grand appetite" which is roughly "I'm very hungry".
That's... fascinating. Among other things I note that the use of "i c u" vastly predates our present century.
